On Tuesday morning 12 Indian Force Mirage-2000 jets crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and destroyed terror camps of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot. The fighter jets dropped 1,000 kg bombs on terror camp at 3:30 am.
Outside secretary Vijay Gokhale affirmed the air strike and said a substantial number of JeM terrorists, coaches and senior officers were wiped out in biggest JeM camp in Balakot. The camp was driven by Maulana Yusuf Azhar false name Ustad Ghauri, brother by marriage of JeM Chief Masood Azhar. The administration said the camp was situated on a ridge, somewhere down in a woods, and far from any non military personnel nearness.
The airstrikes were in striking back to the obnoxious assault by a JeM suicide aircraft on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) guard in the Pulwama region of Jammu and Kashmir not long ago, which killed something like 40 fighters.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi has saluted the polots of Indian Airforce (IAF).
A few Bollywood superstars commended the Indian Air Force for giving a befitting answer to the terrorists.
